Community Playlist - Hip Hop Edition

Let's do this!

It’s been a while and, frankly, I’ve missed it.

For those of you who are unaware what a community playlist is, let me quickly get you up to speed:

• I make a playlist

• You mess it up (I’ll explain how you mess it up in about 40 seconds)

• Everyone is happy

This playlist’s theme is hip hop.

Last year, the Community Playlists were rather massive, which meant that the changes you enforced didn’t influence them that much.

So this year, the original playlists are only going to be 20 songs long, as opposed to a silly 50. Plus, when it’s only 20 songs, I’ll be able to do Community Playlists more frequently. Can I get a whoop whoop?

Also (new rule), in keeping with my usual playlists, I would like ALL SUGGESTIONS TO BE UNDER ONE YEAR OLD. Good old capital letters making everything sound important.

First up, here are my favourite 20 songs hip hip songs FROM THE LAST YEAR. If you don’t want to play the game, then at least play the songs.

Now, in the comments section:

1. Choose a song you want to ADD. If you missed all the capital letters earlier, you must choose an excellent hip hop song released in the last year.

2. Choose a song you would want to KEEP.

3. Choose a song you want to REMOVE.

e.g. Add Soneyjim - Euromillions, Keep Killer Mike, Remove Oddisee.

In a week’s time, I’ll compile the results, and send the updated playlist back out to you all. That way, you will get a playlist made up of 20 of the best hip hop songs as made by people all over the world.

The more people that take part, the better. So ask your peeps if they have any suggestions too and we’ll see what happens.
