Sorry that I haven’t kept you in the loop every step but long story short, the gig is on!
At the beginning of the year, I made a promise to myself to pay gratitude to the live music scene with a gig of my own. I know venues and artists struggle to keep going, so I wanted to do my bit. I didn’t know what that meant at first. I’ve never done this before. So it’s been quite the learning curve. But here at the deets…
Diving Deep with: Red Mar
Join us for our first Diving Deep Session with the immersive, visceral and down-right life-affirming experimental rock band Red Mar.
To celebrate local, interesting music, The Holloway will now be hosting regular Diving Deep Sessions. Each session will start off with an interview, a support act and, after coming up for air, a live session from the headline act themselves.
Dive deep with us and enjoy the Norwich music scene at its finest and most brilliant.
Red Mar are an experimental rock band based in Norwich and London. Formed out of freeform improvisations and drone experiments in late 2018 - they have since established a plethora of eclectic tastes and influences ranging from minimalism and noise-rock to post-rock and everything else distorted, gritty and progressive.
"We avoid simple categorisation as it allows for greater freedom in our sound. Since being formed we've prided ourselves on intensely cathartic live shows through often unorthodox methods and a wide array of instrumentation, to create something entirely unique while still maintaining something passionately human."
