Recent and Decent #105
Feat. Dove Ellis, Melody's Echo Chamber, Bug Teeth...
I’m keen to pass over to Chris for this week’s cracking playlist but don’t forget that here are my favourite albums of 2025 here and our favourite songs of 2025 here. I’ll share favourite live artists in a day or two and then it’s time for a monthly round up then it’s time to shut the hell up for a bit. Right, take it away C-dog…
Oh, actually, one last thing. I’m still sharing Tidal playlists. Can I strongly recommend you give it a go for free here?
Recent and Decent Playlist (click on pic for Tidal playlist)
Demise of Love, Daniel Avery, Working Men’s Club, Ghost Culture - Strange Consequences (12/25)
Squelchy. This one gets in your brain and possibly maybe even reprograms it whilst it’s there, but hopefully in a good way.
Dove Ellis - Little Left Hope (05/12)
What if Jeff Buckley never died but just kept on making music? Or, what if he still died but he kept on making music anyway? This would be the result and all would be well. All would be glorious in fact.
Mount Palomar, Pip Blom - Little Fractures (11/25)
Mount Palomar: ‘Electronic hardware act, and a melder of genres’. Powerful stuff on Artist Profile. But no doubt his nan still sees him as Our Lovely Little Wittle Neily Boy. Cos nans do that sort of thing, don’t they, bless ‘em.
Jerkcurb - Mothematics (11/25)
If you love moths and if you love matics then you’ll love this quirky offering.
Melody’s Echo Chamber - Childhood Dream (12/25)
This is the musical equivalent of floating in a warm bath with low lighting, candles and lovely smells, with warm fluffy white towels, robes and slippers waiting for you whenever you choose to get out. It’s basically a musical spa weekend. Except unlike mythical spa weekends, this actually exists, it’s actually here and it’s actually happening right now.
Axel Boman, Trensum Tribe, Baba Stiltz - Hold on Dub (12/25)
This may not be the first time this has been mentioned, but dub is great, even if you can’t remember what it is, specifically. This is definitely dub. One quick search later, and it turns out that dub is: heavy bass, echo, reverb and remixing. Oh yeah, of course, that’s exactly what it is.
Bug Teeth - Thin Circle (11/25)
Bug Teeth’s offering is hypnotic, sensual and transcendental. Or, at the very least, dental.
Recent and Decent Vote
I’m picking Yasmine Hamdan from last week. Who are you choosing this week for the LAST VOTE OF 2025!!

Cheers Chris. Back to me next week. But not before New Years Day. Any music-related New-Year Resolutions anyone? I plan on sharing some music-related videos but then again I also plan on becoming a World Darts Champion…
