Like you, I have never listened to The Jesus and Mary Chain. I think they were making alternative music before I was old enough to realise I liked it so I dismissed them but I need to go back and have a proper listen.
I’m not sure about the new Vampire Weekend, I think I preferred Father of the Bride. I do really like Ice Cream Piano though.
I got to attend an excellent Q&A with The Libertines at Rough Trade East yesterday and I cannot commend their album strongly enough. It’s a really mature offering well worth the 9 year wait! Apart from the early singles the stand out track is probably I Have A Friend but it’s hard a spoil of riches really.
Elsewhere, I’m really enjoying this one from Chappell Roan
You saw a Libertines Q&A?! That's really cool. I've listened to their singles but they don't grab me like they did in the old days. But at your recommendation, I will give them another shot! And Chappell Roan is now going on the speaker...now!
Feedback: My wife and I both liked that one. Great music to listen to whilst waiting for kettle to boil! I particularly liked the off-key slowed-down outro, cheers!
It was a great event. I certainly think this is a more measured album - and I am a massive fan so may be more receptive than most but I definitely think it’s worth at least a listen, just to see
I've been digging this one by The New Romantics. Came out last fall.

Yes! I think you shared Let You Down last week, which is bound to feature in a Recent and Decent playlist!
Sorry about that! I've been listening to it quite a bit, and it just keeps growing on me.
I love their retro feel! The new single out last week is very good too.

Enjoy The Hives and make sure you get down early for Bad Nerves, one of the best (if not the best) punk bands around at the moment.

Chappell Roan is great. I’d highly recommend her album Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess

Will do! And the other Chappell Roan album!
Great selection and glad you found Rikard 🎵
I made sure to reference you in my little podcast thing! Thanks for introducing me to him!
